Fire Safety

We had a visit from the Cold Spring Firefighters.  We learned about the importance of having an "exit plan".  The students learned about EDITH--Exit Drill in the Home.  We want every home to have an exit drill that has been practiced.  We also got to practice "Stop, Drop and Roll" and we saw what a firefighters equipment looked so we wouldn't be scared if we saw a firefighter in full gear.  We wrapped up our week by making firefighter hats!

Eeeeeeeekkkkkkk!!

We had an invasion of spiders in our classroom!  We took some time to learn about spiders.  We found out that the spiders around here do good things for us like eating insects.  Our room was crawling with 22 little creatures!

P is for Popcorn!

We had a chance to practice some more cooking skills.  We made microwave popcorn for our snack.  Everyone had a turn to have a job.  It tasted great!
